Transparency

Madagascar Oil engages stakeholders on issues such as resource revenue management and project revenues through the oil life cycle. The aim is to build awareness of business processes and government relations.

The company recognises how transparent reporting and disclosure of payments helps to strengthen government, stakeholder relationships and risk management.

Madagascar has been an Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) candidate country since 2008. The government has published a comprehensive 2015 work plan with goals and activities to ensure that EITI contributes to wider reforms of the extractive sector.

Madagascar Oil will support the government and multi-stakeholder group (MSG) in achieving EITI goals.
